We designed and built this unit for a nook in our upstairs landing. Because the side wall area was so narrow, we decided to face the bookcases to the inside. The bench top raises to reveal plenty of storage. We lived in this house for 25 years and this bench became the display platform for my “Leg Lamp” every Christmas. My father upholstered the cushion for this project.
