I installed a 5 foot tall wainscot in this small bedroom for my grandson. We included a small display shelf for his action figures. The bead board was installed on top of the old drywall. This necessitated building window jam extensions above the beadboard so that the new window casings would be flat to the wall. The lower baseboard was removed and replaced afterwards. Everything was given a coat of primer followed by 2 coats of Olympic Silver Feather semigloss.
