The owners of this cabin asked me to enclose a walk-out 8×8 platform located off their master bedroom. As with most of my projects, I started with a SketchUp drawing to help visualize the concept.The roof and timber framing were already in place, so we enclosed it with 6 double-hung windows, 4 triangular solid windows, and half-log siding. The siding was scribed and cut to fit to the cabin siding and it was step-flashed into the roof shingles. The inside was finished out with tongue and groove planking. With the help of the owner we were able to complete this project in one week. A bonus was being able to enjoy October in the mountains!
